From Palatine Hill to the ruins of the Coliseum and the Roman Forum right next door, if there's one thing Rome's got in spades, it's ruins. Everywhere you turn! It's a bit startling at first... but quickly becomes strangely familiar: seeing the antique and dilapidated and truly ancient, existing alongside modernity.

It's surreal, and a little magical, walking around Rome.
I did a bit of sketching but we spent so much time coming/going to museums that drawing came in a distant second-place to 'being a tourist.'
